The Ridge Winery Tasting Room Tours

After a bad experience at another hotel, we booked rooms here. Immediately the front desk folks were absolutely AMAZING. SO kind and helpful. They got us checked in very quickly. They didn't even blink an eye about the dog with us. Our room was fantastic. The bathroom was a little small-cant close the door without stepping beside the toilet. The toile was very slow to flush- hold the handle down for a good 5-10 seconds. The whole place was very clean. I did notice cleaning staff came in the room while we were gone which im not used to, so definitely put that do not disturb sign on the door. We only had 2 hiccups during our stay and staff was VERY quick to fix these for us! The pool is great as well. Very clean. Good free breakfast too. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to town!

I usually don't travel to Louisville as its out of the way for me, but, 1st, the pros: Crown Plaza is HUGE! Directly across from the airport, the shuttle is a call and 5 minutes away (always ready to drive you wherever you want to go) with lots of parking for large events or guests. Theme park a short walk away with lots of rides currently open. Massive lots around the property to go walking or just a casual ride on bikes or scooters or whatever you're into. The staff were kind, pleasant, and helpful, always with a smile. Nice clean room with soft beds that fealt heavenly with matching pillows that provide the right amount of support. I don't drink so i didn't approach the bar and i didn't get to enjoy the breakfast as my return flight was scheduled to leave before breakfast was served. The cons: vending and ice machine were a little walk as the halls are pretty long, though on the same floor. Every time I stepped into the hallway I smelled old piss. Could've been my strange sense of smell but it was only near my room and faded as I walked away. Convenience stores and strip mall aren't exactly nearby, but about a 5-7 minute car ride with little traffic at the right time or on the right days. Internet on my device was lagging. Could've been my personal device, though its never happened before and it's T-Mobile network. I'd return with a rental car next time as the shuttle only goes 2 miles radius. Over all, I'd give Crown Plaza a solid 4/5
