Visit Valencia’s Central Market (Mercat Central) to experience the sights, sounds and smells of a bustling food market. Sample everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to cheeses and cured meats. Opened in 1928 by King Alfonso XIII, today the market is home to around 1,000 stalls and is one of the oldest-running food markets in Europe.

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the city’s main square and one of the gems of Valencia’s Old Town. This magnificent flower-filled space encompasses grandiose Baroque buildings, florist stalls, cafés, restaurants, kiosks and an impressive fountain. Feria Valencia is huge, one of the largest exhibition areas in Spain. It encompasses several buildings and hosts national and international fairs, conventions, congresses, seminars and concerts.
