I am not sure where to start. First off, these photos are extremely doctored. It is misleading and irresponsible on Expedia’s part. This room was not cheap. Almost $400. I brought my husband and two young children who were excited for a hotel stay and a night in Asbury. Upon check in I knew something was off. The exterior is completely dilapidated. There were people in pajamas wondering around and scowling. Pit bulls being walked, folks clearly living in their cars. We did not stay here as there was no lock on the door. See attached photo. Do not book this hotel. Expedia should really be ashamed. The staff did their best to be accommodating.

Everything about this place was just a little off. I did not sleep a wink because of the feeling that I was being watched. It seemed like some people lived there and when I left it appeared someone may have slept in their car. Not worth the money at all.

I was hopeful initially upon booking this stay. Upon entry into our room, we noticed there was trash in the garbage can, used hand soap in the bathroom, and a used towel hanging on the towel rack, the other was neatly folded. We told the front office and they moved us to another room. When we got in this room which was upgraded to a suite, which was appreciated, we noticed that the ac was not working. We tried to figure it out for about 30 minutes before again I walked down to the office, (the phone in the room didn’t work) and when I told the staff that the ac wasn’t working one of the women there told me to wait longer. I said we had already waited for 30 minutes and I know how a general thermostat should look when cooling. A gentleman came up and said he didn’t know but to wait longer. We gave it another 30 minutes, I went down again and they moved us to another room. We had already been at the property for about 1.5 hours. The last room the ac worked but the faucet in the kitchen had a pinhole in it that sprayed when used, the toilet leaked from the reserve tank whenever flushed, generally the property didn’t feel very clean or well maintained. It was a combination stay and long term tenants which was not made very clear during booking( perhaps an oversight on my part). Breakfast seemed like it wasn’t restocked it was simply first come first serve between the people staying for a few days and long term tennants. Overall the stay left much to be desired.

The property was HORRIBLE. The room we were provided did not have a security lock on the door and the door jam looked as though the room had been broken into. The room reeked of paint and was full of dust. There appeared to be a number of transient individuals that lived on the property and there was trash including discarded prescription pill bottles littering the parking lot. Due to the room and property conditions as well as concerns for our safety we did not stay at the hotel.

Worst experience ever, didn’t have the room with two beds we booked. Instead they gave us a second room, which we found out the door didn’t lock. Tried to check out the next day because of this reason, and was incredibly difficult to get a refund back from. And on the way out another guest was in the parking lot with the police, say all his stuff from his room was stole.

After checking in, we went to our room and immediately started looking for another place to stay. The room smelled of marijuana and wet dog. My daughter started having an allergic reaction. There was a condom in the closet. There are people living in this hotel, which is fine, but I did not feel that this was a family friendly environment. There were cars with no tires up on blocks, dogs running around and barking everywhere, and the room next-door to us had a welcome mat that said “a$&holes live forever.” We didn’t want to touch anything in the room! And when we tried to tell management, they told us that because we had gone into the room we needed to be charged for the night. I emailed the gentle manager and he never responded. I don’t need a five star hotel, but I do need to make sure that my children stay healthy and safe.

I booked a seven night stay at this hotel. Upon entering my room I knew my family and I had to find another hotel asap. Foul smell in the room. Dust everywhere. Loitering outside. No stove in the room. Vomit in the parking lot. Mattresses in the trash cans outside. Broken glass windows in the rooms. And a knocking noise in the tub. We arrived at night and had a hard time finding another room that night but by morning we were gone and find availability at another property. We were so uncomfortable that we spent the night in our clothing. This property needs a lot of work so I would avoid.

Cable went out for a full day and no one noticed until I called it in. No updates to me were made. Cable also had no guide menu to know channels. No body soap in room at check-in...had to ask at desk, though did give it quickly. Breakfast had no juice, water or coffee left in machine by 8:15am when I arrived - staff just shrugged when I asked for some rather than get more put out for guests. I could expect no added food when run out but no juice, water and coffee?

Room spacious, bed comfortable, some furniture and bathroom door damaged, faucet in the tub unsteady, free breakfast fair. Not enough towels and wash cloths provided. Outside of buildings and outside stairs needing repairs and painting. Noisy with people screaming and dog barking. Pool not available when we arrived, we were not notified. Probably several Section 8 resident. Not a pleasant experience going in and out of our room. The number of our building posted on the outer wall was the same color of the wall while the color of the numbers of the other buildings were a differrent color and were easier to read.

Do not stay here! This hotel was sticky, dirty, everything was broken and the long term renters were noisy and disrespectful to others! I would not recommend this property to anyone.
