This property is definitely run down. Paint is peeling everywhere, the trip guards on a few steps are broken, there was a broken chair sitting outside the house keeping office which had broken blinds. The first room I was assigned painted the tub to look like granite, but the paint was peeling. My second room (I reported only to avoid paying for their renovations) was missing a screw on the light switch This hotel still has smoking rooms and cigarette disposal posts everywhere. That being said, the doors use NFC keys that are far more secure than the magnetic ones. All the important things worked and were reasonably clean (ie I would have had to actively seek faults). Breakfast options were limited but present. The staff was reasonably professional. The WiFi was a bit confusing since they didn't share the SSID and there were several imposter networks. The property isn't in the best part of town, but I experienced no security issues and Lawrence is overall safe.
