"The stay was wonderful, lake view, very pleasant staff. Only down side is if you are walking it is a bit of a trek up a very steep hill, but worth it for the view. We asked about taxi back to the station but they only have 3 in the town and they much prefer airport runs, the lady from the hotel then took us herself which just added to how the hotel felt, a real homestay. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would 100% recommend"

There is no easy access to public transport and it is remote from shops too. To my surprise, I found out this hotel is one also used by couples seeking privacy, if you know what I mean. "The rating of this hotel on Expedia’s website is rather misleading. The historic building is fantastic, but the rooms are very basic, at best at the level of a two stars hotel. The aircon was not working during a week with temperatures over 32C. When asked, what they will do about it, the staff said it cannot be repaired before the day of our departure. No alternative room was available. We had to insist on the staff sourcing a fan for us. They didn’t even suggest this themselves."
