“Cheap stay only. Quiet and rural.”

“This is an extremely low budget hotel. Apparently it is under new ownership and is experiencing some growing pains. A lot of the furniture and fixtures are worn out, and the new ownership hasn’t been able to replace and update. The room itself was clean. The staff was friendly and polite, but stretched a bit thin. One of the cleaners had quit and so the receptionist was busy cleaning rooms and changing sheets. There was a sign with a number to call, but no answer from the number. With……

“Room was ok…. Had an earthy odor and appeared that only hard surfaces were cleaned. The carpeted floor was very dirty. The pool was open and the water pleasant. However, Dirty towels littered the sides and the ADA pool chair lift was unplugged. Towels are only provided upon request and with the limited staff there, I opted to use my own towel. Staff was hard to find. I only saw one worker my entire trip—at check in after I rang a bell and waited several minutes. After giving me a key, he……
