Walk to Gondola - Outdoor Pool/Hot Tubs, Balcony, Private Washer & Dryer

Sun Vail condos offers guests the convenience to Lionshead without the price tag! It is an 8 minute walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola via the Lionshead pedestrian bridge, and when you rent this particular condo, you get complimentary access to 2 ski lockers in Lionshead! So, you'll get to make the walk in regular shoes or boots, no need to carry any equipment! The walk is pleasant and mostly flat to slightly downhill heading to the Eagle Bahn. You'll pass evergreen trees, the Sunbird Park playground, the Vail Square Ice Rink, and numerous shops, restaurants, bars and coffee shops along the way. It's so easy, you'll laugh at everyone who pays an arm and a leg to be only a bit closer to the slopes. You'll add just 2 or 3 minutes of walking time compared to lodging in Lionshead itself, but you'll save thousands! Plus, if you are not interested in walking to Lionshead, you can always choose to ride the free Vail shuttle. You can use the Next Bus app and always know when the next bus is coming. There is a stop immediately adjacent to Sun Vail, so its very easy and convenient.
The main living space is a nice large open concept. All the windows and screens in the property were replaced in June of 2023. In addition, the shared bathroom was completely remodeled at the same time. The living area is quite big, accommodating 3 sofas, one with an ottoman. These comfy furnishings surround a very large HDTV and wood burning fireplace. With those amazing views out the wall to wall windows, this is a great place to relax and enjoy sunsets over the slopes after a day of adventure. The kitchen is also really big, and has great quality. Beautiful slab granite counters complement the upscale cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The peninsula offers bar seating and plenty of space for your "après ski" snacks and beverages. The dining area is right next to the kitchen, which makes serving meals easy, and this is a great place for games too. Finally, off this big main living space is a very wide covered deck with panoramic views, multiple spots for you to sit down, and a gas BBQ grill as well.
Back inside, there is more to like. The master bedroom is spacious. It easily accommodates a King bed with end tables and room to spare. There's a nice large HDTV on the dresser, plus a private balcony if you want a quiet place to relax with a book or cup of coffee. Of course, the master has its own private bathroom, which has been nicely updated. It features a wide ornate vanity with bullnose granite counter that gives you plenty of space for your things, and some space to spare. The master bathroom also features a large walk in shower with beautiful tile. The second and third bedrooms are not as large, but still have a good size. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed while bedroom 3 has a Full bed plus a two Twin bunk bed. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom that is equal in quality and size to the one found in the master. This condo has its own washer and dryer, free WiFi, and cable TV. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, towels, etc. Everything you need but the food and beverages!
Sun Vail also has nice facilities. So many properties in Vail don't even have a hot tub. But when you stay here, you'll enjoy access to a big heated pool, 2 large hot tubs, and a sauna, conveniently located right downstairs. The pool area has good quality outdoor furniture including chaise loungers for sunbathing and tables with chairs and umbrellas. Summer visitors will appreciate the landscaping and flowers which create a private and serene setting. The pool area also has restrooms that are plenty big enough for changing or drying off.
The home also comes with a very special, coveted, and hard to come by amenity. Two private ski lockers that are located just steps away from the Eagle Bahn Gondola, at Ski Valet. Each of the lockers equipped with 4 air dry systems, and has with enough space for at least 4 pairs of skis, poles, clothing and accessories. So, since this condo comes with TWO lockers, there should be enough space for groups of up to 8 people. This is one example of this property owner's care for the guest experience, and an ongoing investments into enhancing that experience. Enjoy!
Please note that the condo itself is a top floor, 3rd floor unit. So that's 2 flights of stairs and then you enter. There are also some stairs up from the parking lot, so it's a total of about 3 flights of stairs before you enter. However, once you're inside, everything is on one level, and you'll get to enjoy what the top floor offers! That is: breathtaking views of the ski resort, vaulted ceilings, and privacy. You won't have neighbors upstairs, so you're assured that you won't have anyone "stomping around on your ceiling" and with only one condo across the stairwell from this unit, you dont' even share walls with anyone. Also, keep in mind that there are ways to make the top floor less of an issue. If you're renting skis and snowboards, the shops at the base of the slopes should or will offer free overnight storage. If you have your own equipment, remember that the owner of this condo pays a pretty high price to have ski lockers available for you in Lionshead. Also, you might choose to have groceries delivered.
This property offers so much for what is a lower price than many properties that offer a lot less. A heated pool, hot tubs, an updated condo with ideal bedding for families or groups of adults, amazing views, comfortable furnishings, the list goes on. Come experience all Vail has to offer in a great condo without blowing your budget.
