The Riu is a very nice hotel, comfortable beds and pillows, nice view of Plaza de Espana. The hotel is walking distance to many theaters, stores, El Retiro Park, Puerta de Alcala and many other sites and restaurants. The front desk and porters were very courteous and professional. We will be back to this hotel when in Madrid.

Modern and great location. Rooftop was beautiful with great views of the city, however my friends were treated poorly by the hostess. If you have a larger group (we had 8) they give you a very hard time about seating you even though there was space. Other than that my stay was awesome

Had an amazing time at the riu..everything at the hotel was great...the staff is awesome...the buffet breakfast was great and the rooftop bar is a must do if you are in madrid!!It is fantastic,with beautiful views overlooking the city...the hotel is located in a perfect location,its within walking distance to everything. My family and i will definitely be back..Thank you so much for making my trip to Madrid so memorable!!!!

Loved this hotel! It probably only merits a 4 star rating but it was perfect for our needs in every way: our room had a great city view and was as comfortable as in any Riu Caribbean resort destination we've stayed in. A feature of the hotel is its rooftop bar and restaurant that boasts fantastic views of the Madrid landscape. The breakfast dining room on the 2nd level also had good views and an excellent buffet.
