“They did in fact have sheets and blankets so not sure why it says it doesn’t but yes you need your own towels lol and soaps! Short drive to the river and all the instructions were in a binder on the counter when we got there explaining where the dumpster and everything was that we needed even cute notes from previous stayers at the end of the binder. Plenty of room for us and all 6 of our kids even tho they slept on the living room floor simply because there was only one tv in the place lol it……

“If you love the beauty of nature and a peaceful surrounding this is the place to be!! Sitting on the porch watching the deer, wild turkeys, hummingbirds, and an enormous variety of wild birds is wonderful beyond words!The hosts are magnificent. And by the way Utopia is a great town, Garner State Park and Lost Maples are very close and there is great golf! On Saturday eating a deluxe meal at The Laurel Tree is unforgettable!”

“The Utopia River Retreat was just what we needed after 3 nights camping out in Big Bend. The cabin we stayed in (Kickapoo) was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed (cooking utensils, bath towels, linens). The grounds were peaceful and scenic and had a nice swimming pool and volleyball net as well as riverfront access. At this time the river on the property didn't look great for swimming (no deep spits, tree branches, etc), but if you want to swim, Utopia City Park has a deep……

“Communication was great we had concerns about the river flooding. Our host was quick to communicate and advise us everything was safe to travel. Upon arrival the cabin first smelt so clean, second appeared clean as well. Wouldn’t recommend for more than 2 people. Bed was super comfy and the AC couldn’t have been more perfect. Was so frikin cold. Loved it. Went for a run Saturday morning during our stay the views were great. Highly recommend Happy Hollow, and Taqueria San Juan and Frio Coffee. We……
