“Amazing place staff are wonderful. Traditional Zimbabwean thatched cottage accommodation. We were in the honeymoon suite although not our honeymoon. Lovely big bed fantastic bathroom and outdoor seating. Phil Mornette and their team are great hosts. They organised all of our excursions and everything was fantastic they have done them all themselves. “Batonka Lodge was booked as part of a package trip that we did to Africa. However, we extended our trip so stayed two additional nights at the Lodge. The lodge is small compared to some other places that have recently been built or being built but it was just right. It had a really cozy colonial feel to it. The staff were incredibly attentive and couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. The food was great and the rooms were clean and spacious. There was a shuttle bus to town but you could also……

“I picked this one out of the two hostels in the area, because you could pay for it upfront when you booked (so on your credit card in your own currency) and the fact you could pay for stuff with the credit card too. In fact other than the taxi from the airport, I never used cash in Victoria Falls. Everything I went into, including the nearby supermarket was in US dollars though. “This property is fantastic. I have stayed in 5Star Hotels around the world and this is one of the best. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. You have access to your own pool just steps out your back door. Secluded and safe. Staff was fantastic. I don’t write many reviews, but this one is worth it. Highly recommended ”
