“I’ll start by saying this property is charming if you love the great outdoors. I’d planned a last minute trip to visit family that lives nearby and the PGA was in town, so this was the only place I could find to stay. The reviews were good and I’ve been to the Great Smoky Mountains so I thought the cabin would be like that, right? Wrong!!! It’s much more primitive than anything I’ve ever seen but the kicker was when we found a 10 foot snake skin over the back door just as it was getting dark on……

“This house is absolutely beautiful. I felt like we were on the set of Yellowstone. Every detail was interesting and authentic. Darrell had a fire going for us when we arrived and the home was warm and inviting. He also gifted us some fresh farm eggs and sausage which were so delicious! We loved drinking our morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch while we watched the horses grazing. If you like stargazing, you'll love this property at night. This review would not be complete……

“The house was very clean, the beds were very comftorable. There were 9 of us and it never felt crowded. The view was great. The screened in porch was nice. I really liked that the master bedroom was upstairs, and the kids had their own space downstairs. We would definately stay again at our next trip to that area.”

“My family stayed at this house for 3 nights for our trip to the Kentucky Derby. We were unbelievably excited to see the house when we got there! We almost exclusively use rental homes for our trips now due to having kids and more of a “home” feel. This one has been our favorite stay to date! “Luxury Rustic Cabin” in our opinion is the perfect description for this home. Although our drive to and from Churchill Downs was a little longer than we would have liked, it was not a real issue for us, as……

“I think this was our fourth stay at Cedar Lodge.....and we love coming back to it. It's our first choice when we are in the area and need a place to stay. We were in town for a family wedding. My husband, our three adult kids and one significant other all stayed a various number of days. The cabin was clean, has everything we needed, close to family and the venue and in a beautiful location. Very peaceful and beautiful. Owners are very responsive to any concerns or questions. Power went out……

“Loved the back deck area looking at river spent the mornings before we went places and the evenings once we came back on that deck. House is about 10 minutes from New Albany and 20 from Louisville. It was a peaceful quiet location to chill before we went to the National Archery tournament and other activities we packed in. Host was very helpful and and communicated very timely throughout the entire process.”

“Our SECOND stay in this property! We have family in area, and this is perfect location and has all the amenities we love and more! Super clean and comfortable and very convenient to unique restaurants and shopping boutiques! Hosts are very responsive to any questions! ONLY ISSUE (but not for us): unit is upstairs, bathroom is small, so likely not a good fit for someone who is unable to navigate stairs or needs a lot of room in bathroom. We love it and will stay there again!”
