The location is good, you can walk to a restaurant. BUT... The building is in bad shape very poorly maintained. The inside front door is badly broken, The elevator is broken. The room wreaked of cigarette smoke. We really couldn't sleep well because of the smell. Even though we really needed sleep, we couldn't take it any longer. Trying to sleep was just too difficult. We left by 3 AM. My wife slept with her clothes on as she was nervous about what might be lurking in the room. We were skeeved out. The room heating cooling unit was always making a rattling sound as well. Jim

Very helpful staff. They are renovating some areas, but there is no construction debris lying around like you usually see with hotel renovations. Room was clean. Everything was in good working condition. Lots of hot water. Extra blanket in the closet if needed, which is rare these days. There were decent toiletries in the bathroom, which was nice since I left mine in the car & didn't feel like going back out. I do like that the place is pet-friendly for folks traveling with a pet, but the only downside was there was a dog in a nearby room that barked for about 10 minutes straight late at night & woke us up. We will stay again when in the area.

I see Travel Inn as a work in process. I have stated at the property when it was part of the Wyndham group and all was better for not much more money. I believe the staff when they tell me it will be about a year before they finish all the renovations since the change in ownership. If you want a cheap, clean place to stay, the Travel Inn is good enough. There is NO lobby coffee, NO breakfast of any kind (worse than during COVID). The wifi could be much better. I was not getting satisfactory bandwidth, and I was told the hotel was full, which put a strain on the wifi. I responded that they should use some of the revenue from a full hotel and upgrade their Spectrum service pkg. I enjoyed the outdoor pool on previous stays, but now the pool is shut down until summer 2027 The beds and Air Conditioning are fine; Some bathrooms have been updated; others are in process. I like to watch FOX NEWS and the channel clearly indicated as Fox News was showing Fox Sports -- That might be a problem with Spectrum and their admin. I have definitely stayed in worse places, and it is hard to find a decent alternative in Watertown for a low price. Just set your expectations low and plan to eat breakfast elsewhere.

Conveniently located to I81. Room was clean and a nice size so was the bathroom. Elevator was out of order to getting to the second floor was by the stairs. We were well treated and could check in early. No breakfast but very close to breakfast restaurants. Would recommend

Hotel double charged for 5 rooms x 4 nights. No working telephone number or other way of contacting hotel directly. Hotel would not respond to Expedia's inquiries. Expedia refused to credit. Law enforcement fraud division has been brought in.

When entering the non smoking room that I booked, the entire room reeked of cigarette smoke. Upon looking around the room it was noticed that the bedding was visibly soiled. When talking to front desk staff about the issues and that we no longer felt comfortable staying there his only response was “okay”. Don’t waste your time or money.

The place looked abandoned. The check-in area was very odd. The elevator was broken. The rooms smelled horrible. The sheets were turned inside out. Overall, the place made me feel very uncomfortable. We had to leave abruptly and no one was at the front desk and talked to us through a ring bell camera. I do not recommend anyone staying there.

The room was clean but there was no garbage can anywhere. There also was no TV which was very strange. The bed was not comfortable. But if you need somewhere to stay for a night or two it isn’t bad.
