"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom was quite cold but it was very cold outside. Easy entrance and exit to the room. "

"The Lazy River cabin was excellent! Clean, quiet, and charming, with an cozy wood stove and a great hot tub. Plenty of space to sleep, heated floors in the basement, well stocked with towels and linnens, the dishwasher worked very well as did any kitchen equipment we used. The only issues we had were extremely minor. As usual with "rentals," the knives were quite dull. There was a loud heat pump on the upper level (it faded into the background quickly, but it was much louder than the identical unit on the first floor), and the hot tub couldn't maintain its temperature when the air was below about 20F. There were also only two working lamps in the cabin (plenty of ceiling lighting, though!). Again, all minor issues.We had an amazing stay."

"We had a magical winter wonderland weekend at the Caboose! Our train loving 5 yr old was so excited about staying in a train. Really beautiful spot out in western valleys of WI, almost feels like being in the mountains. Was very peaceful and relaxing to watch the snow fall from the hot tub. If you love coffee, would recommend bringing your own reusable K-cup or French press as the caboose only has a small keurig machine. Also, the beds are a bit worn down, can feel coils in the futon mattress and lower bunk bed. Would recommend bringing a mat or topper if you desire more comfort. Overall 10/10, will be back!"

"When in Decorah The Fairfield Inn offers a great modern and new facility that has easy access on the west side of town. The staff, room and overall impression is outstanding. One of the best places to stay in town. "
