Fountain View 2: Overlooking Downtown Wellsboro

Fountain View II has a bird's eye view of "Wynken, Blynken, & Nod," Wellsboro's very own fountain on "The Green" and the gaslights of historic Main Street.  This conveniently located second story, one bedroom apartment sleeps 2 and features a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom with washer/dryer and a large open living room that you can enjoy the view of our quaint town from.  You will be in walking distance from all the shops, restaurants and movie theater.  Wellsboro offers something for everyone- the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, 60+mile rail trail for biking, walking or cross country skiing, nearby ski slopes of Ski Sawmill, multiple state parks & Gamelands for hiking, hunting/fishing, local farmers markets & wine tasting, plus our State Laurel Festival in June and Dickens of a Christmas event in December. 

*You are welcome to the limited supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and trash bags in our starter home kit. Please be prepared to bring any additional supplies you and your group may need for your entire stay. Linens/towels are provided; Keurig.

Great location
Easy to get to the shops and restaurants on the main street. Living room and bed were comfortable, Fairly quiet neighborhood. TV had the standard selection of channels but not streaming options which is why I bring my computer and an HDMI adapter. WiFi was more than able to handle streaming. Kitchen was good for the limited amount of cooking we did. We found two pepper but no salt shaker and a can opener that needs replaced. But you have the essentials and Tops grocery is within easy reach. The diner and the Chinese restaurant (Red Lantern/Dumpling House) were our favorites. We don't eat late meals so we didn't try the places that open at 5pm. I have already recommended this place to friends.

Nice weekend in Wellsboro
This apartment is in a great location, within walking distance to the Wellsboro restaurants and shops. It was a short drive to the PA Grand canyon. The apartment was well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Great Stay in Wellsboro PA
Had a great stay at Fountain View II. The apartment is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Very convenient location - walk across the pretty village green to the historic district of Wellsboro or take a short drive to PA's Grand Canyon for a hike or bike ride. Can't wait to make a return visit!

Walk everywhere!
Truely located centrally. On the peaceful side of the park. Be aware that a full flight of steps are required to get to and from the unit. Wellsboro is a beautiful and friendly place to visit. We enjoyed the property in the morning, it is sunny and gets you energized for the rest of the day.

Great stay near Fountain
Loved the location, space and set up at Fountain View II. You can tell it was previously office space but the set up is so nice and spacious. Loved the walks to restaurants, park and the fountain as well as having a washer/dryer. My only wish is for there to be at least 2 Kcups for coffee upon arrival.

Clean … clean … clean! AND the perfect walking-distance location
This apartment was spic-and-span clean; along with having anything you could possibly need (well-equipt kitchen with Keurig, cleaning supplies, general toiletries, etc.). It was so comfy and so close to everything that it was as absolute wonderful place to stay! I would defiantly stay here again and would tell anyone else visiting this wonderful town to stay here as well!! Thank you for everything!!

North Country getaway
Fountain view II was ideally located in quiet block off Main Street in picturesque Wellsboro. After riding the Pine Creek rail trail and surrounding gravel roads it was nice to have town all accessible by foot. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Great downtown location, clean, great overall
Great overall place. A nice sized 2nd floor apartment with a nice sized living area, bathroom, and master. It has really great parking literally in front of your entrance. Was clean and they came over to fix the wifi when it was experiencing drops. My only complaint would be the wifi was pretty bad, as in slow and spotty enough that my cellphone Hotspot provided better internet. Also the actual door to the apartment doesn't lock, the closed off stairwell to your apartment is. Other than that I can't emphasize how close you are to main street Wellsboro.

Clean & Perfect Location
The apt. was exactly as expected based on the listing. The location was close to everything, including the PA Grand Canyon. The one thing we wanted to remind those who book this property, is to remember to bring bath soap, lol. They do provide hand soap, but I never thought of bath soap. No biggie, we just went to CVS to get some. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we will be back to this property again soon! Everyone we came in contact with, was very nice.
