“I had thought I was booked to stay the Nauvoo Temple House Hotel, but not knowing how things were set up, I ended up staying in the basement of what used to be the old ZCMI store. That was probably due to me asking the staff (on the phone) if there were any stairs, since I'm handicapped. It didn't have any steps; it's a basement. The first room, a bedroom, only had one bulb in the overhead light fixture, which anyone in housekeeping should have noticed. There was no shower, just a bathtub……

“The hotel staff were friendly and check in was easy. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels and even a small Keurig coffee maker with pods. There is an Applebees right across the parking lot that was great. The beds were on the softer side, but still comfortable. The only negative was the noise from late night guests and early morning truck traffic and beeping from the business next door.”
