“The property was unique because the room we had was called the Honeymoon Suite. It had an entire kitchen plus a master suite with separate shower and an old fashioned four legged tub. Plus we had a private balcony and a separate entrance to come and go. Our scene each morning that we woke up to was a river with a pier where my husband fished. Ms. Debbie was pleasant, sweet and a perfect host who welcomed us with open arms. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a beautiful time.😊”

“We’re so happy we found this place! We loved the peaceful drive through the cornfields, the atmosphere. The house was clean, super spacious and open. Very charming, can’t say enough good things. At 8 months pregnant, I will admit that I became attached to the big bath tub after a long day. Mark also helped us out by letting us switch our reserved dates due to a family emergency, and I can’t thank him enough for that. We appreciate everything! ”

“This was a perfect getaway weekend! The lodge is in a remote area, which is so quiet. We enjoyed kayaking, going for a boat ride with the owner, Gary, and just walking around the village.Peggy stayed in touch with me throughout the time before our visit as well as during the visit even though she was not able to be there for the weekend. Debbie was our hostess and she was wonderful! The lodge is so unique and comfortable.”

“Perfect location for our stay (2 adults) while we were touring nearby locations. Place was in clean and top condition and building has great touch of history. Owners are super nice and we felt very welcomed. After the first day of breakfast we felt we were part of their family. Breakfast: Top of the line breakfast which included 4 courses and met all our dietary needs (my spouse is gluten free and vegetarian). “I loved this place. There was an update in 2016 and someone made the mistake of getting white carpet. Live and learn. The bed was comfortable, there was a variety of pillows, the tavern shuts down at 9:00 so its all quiet by 11:00 p.m. The tavern is superb. I’d eat there again in a heartbeat. The place is old and has some quirks and that’s something that you either like because you like historical places or you don’t because you like modern things. I’d stay here again. ”
