The balcony in our spacious bedroom was a joy from where we were able to occasionally see red deer. The staff were enormously helpful in moving luggage - there are no lifts. All in all a delightful experience."

"When we arrived at the hotel it didn't look anything special from the outside. On entering into the small reception we received a very warm welcome and given some local information. We were directed to our room which was very spacious, clean and a nice outlook . The bed was very comfortable although I found the room warm but my husband slept right through the night, which is unusual for him. We opted to have dinner in the hotel and although a bit pricy we were very happy with what we ordered. A very pleasant stay and I would definitely return"

The house is ideally situated in Wigtown so right by some lovely pubs, bookshops and nice areas for walking. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 young children (and a dog) and it perfectly suited our needs - plenty of space and ideal for a group get together. We can’t wait to return!"
