"We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, with great views. It's conveniently placed to be able to explore sites and attractions in the area. Only suggestions would be to look at the flooring which seemed to be giving way in some places. Also, we didn't use the hot tub as the welcome booklet said it needed to be cleaned after use but it wasn't clear how to clean it. Otherwise, all good."

"We chose this property as I wanted to go somewhere in Scotland, not far from home, with my friends to celebrate my birthday. My requirement was a place that could accommodate a group of 10 in a cute town, and I was not too fussed about the place itself, and this place met those while browsing. I didn’t expect this house to give me one of the best weekends of my year. The pre arrival communication with the host was great, and our host, River, met us at the door when we arrived. There was a welcome prosecco, some bread and fresh fruits for us which was a delightful touch. We were also provided with an information book which had everything we needed to know about the house, safety, appliances, and some recommendations about eateries in town as well. The communal kitchen was a highlight for me personally. Everything I could want and more was in the kitchen, a fridge with ice cubes machine, coffee maker, a wide range of teas, and a bar area stocked with all the supplies for making cocktails! The lounge and dining area were also great, comfortable, with beautiful views and smart TVs. Our host River was friendly, knowledgable, responsive and communicative as well. It felt reassuring to have her presence nearby in the nursery without it feeling imposing, and she gave great recommendations for activities as well. I would highly recommend this place both for the house itself and because of the lovely host. The main thing lacking in the house was accessibility."

Spacious House With Amazing Sea View

Spacious House With Amazing Sea View

10/10 Excellent
"If you want to be away from it all, this is the place. There are more cows and linnets than humans for miles and the views of the bay at any time of day are just stunning. We loved being able to see the deer, hares and birds of prey in the adjoining fields - with the added bonus of spotting the odd seal or three relaxing in the tranquil waters of the bay or lazing on the rocks on an evening. We also lost (so!) many hours being entranced by the families of House Martins whizzing past the windows like aerial acrobats feeding their (incredibly cute) young under the eves. The house is really well equipped, the beds are comfy and the showers certainly do not lack any power! But the views of the bay from the main lounge are just fantastic and the main selling point. Elspeth was a great host and very helpful/responsive to all our queries. All in all, it was a wonderful week. 100% recommend."
