The staff at the property are very nice, but that is about as far as it goes in terms of hospitality. To start with the breakfast, the only milk available was 3 days expired; the muffins were stale (and were not replaced over our multi day stay); and the wrappers of the cupcakes on offer were pre-peeled (I assume as a convenience but we don’t need too much help peeling our own). The room was pretty gross overall: the towels were stained and raggedy, the couch chair in the room was so gross my wife had to put a blanket over it so she wouldn’t be bothered by the smell while she was working from it; the bed sheet was singed (unclear by what); and to top it all off when housekeeping came around, they didn’t even have a cart of cleaning products, just a roll of paper towels (though at this point we weren’t too surprised to see that). In terms of the amenities, I was unfortunately impressed with just how many things didn’t work: the microwave was totally broken and somehow only the power button worked on the TV remote. To be fair, the fridge does work as expected. Now, if we had paid a budget price for this hotel, I would’ve maybe bumped the rating for this place, but the price for this less-than-good experience was a shocking $180 / night! We paid less in Boston for far far far better. Finally, it is better to not be in a rush here because the staff is rarely at the desk and can take a while to show up, but frankly that is the most tolerable problem with this place.
