Out dated and filthy

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Cons: Paint,carpet,bets,and a heavy cleaning
my wife and I booked this for an event nearby unfortunately. We had already paid or we would have immediately left. The clerk was friendly, but the hotel smelled like smoke and pet urine heavily. We actually went to Walmart to purchase blankets because there was not a chance we were using these from the 70's,,,,,,stay away.

Don't stay here.

I don't recommend this hotel. It is sub-standard and shouldn't be listed on hotels.com.

Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: Tear down the place and rebuild. Hire competent personnel.
Location: Not much of anything. The one restaurant we had frequented previously had closed. (We had stayed at another motel several times.)
When we arrived the credit card machine did not work. After 10+ minutes of trying, the clerk tried to contact the manager but had to leave a voice message. I asked to have a key to the room and after another 20+ minutes she knocked on the door and said she still had not heard from the manager but could she keep the card or its number until she could make the machine work. At this point I paid cash. The TV was old but it did work, a coffee machine was on the table but had no fixings (was told later it should have been removed). There was a hole in the bed spread (maybe more) and the window curtains was worn and thread bare in spots. The bathroom floor by the tub was torn. There was a partially full roll of toilet paper behind the commode and a mostly empty roll on the dispenser. When we went for the light breakfast we were told they had run out of milk, the coffee was lukewarm, there was one bagel, two muffins and two slices of wheat bread. When I opened a drawer to look for some cream cheese they were empty except for roach droppings. On they way out I told the clerk about the roach droppings but was told I was mistaken, she indicated that they had had a mouse. I assured her they were roach as I had worked for a Pest Control Company and currently still had a Pest Control license. Of course she refused to accept my analysis. When I asked for the name and address od the owners she told me they were in the process of being taken over.
