Rooms are basic but clean. All linen provided (towels/sheets etc) clean. Room had recently been redecorated. Furniture could do with updating. Tea/coffee/biscuits provided. Tv with all channels. Loads of free parking. Staff helpful. It’s not luxury but you get what you pay for. We wanted convenience to be close to family and it was fit for purpose.

Very comfortable room & bed.
Superb meals in the elegant Carrier drawing room.
Slight downside in that we were kept waiting to sign in. Disappointing that mostly the flowers on display were artificial, despite having a cut-flower garden outside.

We attend an excellent private event in the evening. The communal rooms were architecturally interesting & well decorated.
Our room had a very comfortable bed, but missed the little comfort features on the Tea & Coffee tray which was a little disappointing.
The corridors needed a little TLC & the service at breakfast was a bit disorganised.
