The people were all genuinely nice. It’s a well located beautiful property.
Was there for a wedding. Bride had asked that i - in her close wedding party be on the same floor. We were not although we had booked many many months in advance. They never came to do my room although i had asked for it to be clean with a sign from 6-2 then dnd 2-3. We got back at 11pm and there was a note saying the room hadnt been serviced.
I asked at the bar what the gluten free options were/ could be. She just told me that i would need to check online. It wasnt online. I would have expected more support from the waitress, which eventually came after i asked her to please check with the kitchen. It felt like my condition was not her problem and i was a burden.
There is a japanese toilet in my room which I appreciated but the seat was all yellowed from the heater which felt gross.
I usually stay at the Fairmont or Germain when in quebec (or elsewhere) and i get much more of a sense of hospitality when i stay at those properties than i did at the st antoine. Nobody asked about me, my welcome amenuty had
Gluten. Usually, at fairmont or germain they have it in my file. The rooms at st antoine were nicer and more curated. Overall, at the same price, I would probably go back to my usual suspects. Would not hesitate to stay there, i just feel there are better options for service.
