"Staying here was such an enjoyable, relaxing, and special experience. The breakfast and dinner kaiseki were delicious and allowed us to try a variety of Japanese dishes. It's a lot of food so come to each meal hungry. All the staff we interacted with were kind and very helpful. The indoor and outdoor onsen was the perfect way to unwind after long days exploring the Hakone area. "Slight hiccup initially of getting a room with car park view instead of a lake view room which I had booked and paid for in advance. But they changed the room on the second day of my stay (I stayed there for 3 nights in total). Food is good and the onsen was nice too . I also tried the private onsen which had a view of Mount Fuji on a clear day. The observatory on the roof top has a great view of the lake and Mount Fuji, which was nice "

Sadly not 5-stars because expedia markets this hotel for 2-6 people per room, but when you book a room, it only does so for 2, and on arrival you have to pay to have the other 4 stay as well. "

Already done the pre-registration bug still need to key in the same information one by one for different person, snap a photo one by one, then continue by video call with customer service, very time consuming.
