The property was in perfect condition with wonderful atmosphere. The rooms were amazing and the bathroom was especially beautiful. I loved seeing the bison and the elk that wander the property.

Very nice rooms and comfortable beds. Food was fare and with covid restrictions, no place to eat other than car or room when it was too cold to sit outside. Best National park room we’ve ever stayed in.

It was nice that it was in the park. There an no extras like TV, pool, etc. Our room didn't have hot water, so we had to change rooms mid stay, but when we called in, they didn't let us know, we had to keep calling back to find out what was going on with the hot water. The staff in the gift shop and the bellman were very friendly and helpful. No food on site, very limited food, other than a small selection at a grill, not much you can reasonably drive to for eating. A lot of places were closed in Gardinier, or had very limited hours, very long waits, etc due to staffing issues in Montana.

Inside the park, but just a short drive to town
This is an amazing historic hotel located just a short walk from the terraces. While it is in the park, it is just a short drive to Gardner for dining options and cafes. I enjoyed the spacious rooms and soaking in the clawfoot tub after a day of hiking in Yellowstone. Another special treat was listening to the bugle of the elks during the rutting season... and watching the bucks locking horns.
