"FYI the is Hotel Fugetsu. The taxi at the station took a while to figure out when I showed them the name of the hotel.
The senior check in staff was not helpful when we tried to book 2 taxis to Umi Jigoku hot spring. It was a 20 minutes walk uphill and 2 of our group were unable to walk that distance. They claimed the taxis would not take us due to the short distance.
Also they were going to charged us extra for exchange of wet towels. "

"This hotel is so far out of town that walking in to town isn’t really an option (at least a hour walk) and the buses only run every half hour.
As for the room itself, when you enter the bottom of the stairwell, you can turn on the light at the bottom but not the top. So you have to walk up into pitch black and use a flashlight to find the light switch at the top. The room barely cooled off, even with us blasting the AC units.
Other than that, the rooms were nice and the onsen had a very pretty...
