"The location is off the beaten path and the hotel is an older hotel...however it has recently been updated so it was very clean with new beds, fresh paint and upgraded bathrooms. We upgraded to the biophoton room, Had a great sleep and felt very rested when we left. I would definitely stay here again. Only 13 miles from Galena and great shopping in Dubuque. My only comment, which is not negative but a warning, the hours are 9 am to 4 pm for the front desk. They sent a text asking what time I planned to check in so I knew of the shorten hours. No coffee in the lobby for early risers though as the front door was locked. Check it out though. We enjoyed it!"
