“We had a wonderful stay at the Anthracite while in town for a wedding. From check in to check out all was smooth. The accommodations were well maintained and the location was convenient to both our Honesdale wedding and meeting up with family in Hawley. The breakfast was well executed with plenty of options. Coffee was served fresh by a waitstaff. If ever we're passing through, we'll be back.”

“Stayed here recently with my family in two rooms for two nights. Lynn (I think that was her name?) at check-in was very pleasant and kind. She gave us advise on where to go, things to do in the area, and coupons for local restaurants. The two rooms that we stayed in were very clean, and the double beds were super comfortable. “We had a nice two night stay. The property, overlooking the lake, is beautiful. Charming reception area and dining room/ restaurant. The employees were pleasant. Breakfast was delicious. Taking away a star because both nights we had someone traipsing up and down all night in the room above ours. The floors are extremely creaky (understandable given the age of the building) so this meant we were disturbed all night. The reception is not manned at night and we didn't want to call the……
