Property could use some updating & additions-for example you can hear other guests in their rooms so a white noise machine would be a nice touch. I love old properties with character but a room can feel disjointed/incoherent if the vintage furniture is mixed with modern and the blinds, carpeting, etc haven't been updated. “The interior of the home was beautiful with the exception of minor repairs overlooked by the homeowner. The exterior of the house initially was terrible, with the grass uncut and shutters leaning on the exterior front entrance of the home. The homeowner stopped by the next day to address concerns and did have the grass cut and the overflowing trash can taken away from previous renters. Hopefully the homeowner will pay more attention to his beautiful home and property in the future.”

“Pros: Check in & check out was easy. The apartment is right on a bus route to the National Mall/Smithsonian Museums, a 15 minute walk to the metro, 10 minute walk to a supermarket, and it's practically nextdoor to a restaurant. The location felt safe. The price was good. The kitchen came equipped with essentials. The on-site laundry wasn't overpriced (pro tip: bring quarters for laundry, it's coin-op.) The host provided linens, towels, and toiletries (and the towels were super soft & fluffy!)……
