“Television was down. They had to replace a new one after inspection. It took a while to complete this. Our room was too close to the kitchen. The noise was transferred through the venting system. That needs to be improved.”

“ This is typical old Hotel. The building is old and the technology (water, electricity ) is old, but all works. Situation in the city is excellent; near centrum, on the beach. Good bed to sleep and the sound of waves is soothing. Good beakfast and the limits from food allergy were well taken into account. And also very early mornig breakfast when needed was possible. We liked. ”

“I had a great stay at Royal Beach Hikkaduwa. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. View from the hotel was just amazing. Just in front of the main surf point and you can watch surfers every evening while enjoying a cold beer. Food at their Lumina beach restaurant and bar was excellent. I had cocktails also. They had live music sessions and they also have 50% cocktails happy hour every day from 05:30 -06:30pm. Nothing beats watching surfers with a cocktail in hand. I’d definitely……

“This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. Would recommend and hope to return again.”
