Wake up to an amazing sunrise, the seals swimming up to the cottage with the the tide, and the lobster fishermen starting their day. Sip your coffee on the deck, and catch that eagle or ospree gliding by. With spectacular 180 degree views of Frenchman's Bay and Mt. Desert Island, Acadia Vista is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Maine.

Acadia Vista cabin has an open living/dining/kitchen area. Two large picture windows look out onto the water. The kitchen is fully equipped for your family and guests. There is ample counter space, plenty of pots and pans, kitchen gadget and dinnerware. The dining room table can be expanded to seat 8. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed, ample closet space and a full bathroom with walk-in shower. The second bedroom has twin beds that are suitable for children or adults, and a bathroom with a toilet and sink. Linens, blankets and towels are supplied. There are 2 twin sofa beds in the living room for overnight visitors. Acadia Vista cabin also has ROKU TV, and 5G internet access.
Located in the famous community of Hancock Point, Oceanfront Acadia Vista cabin offers easy access to Acadia National Park and other attractions, in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. Go hiking, biking, sailing, kayaking, play tennis.

Guests are welcome to borrow the two bicycles (at their own risk) to explore the natural beauty of the area. Kayaks are available for rent locally. There is a quaint summer library on the main road, and a lovely non-denominational chapel that offers worship services during the summer months, a clay tennis court, sailing and sailing lessons, guest boat moorings at the town dock. Hancock Point also boasts a wonderful restaurant and Inn, the Crocker House (1/2 mile).
Your 1 dog is welcome with a signed pet agreement and $100 pet fee per stay.

Approximately 18 miles to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Schoodic mountain, Schoodic Point approx. 18 miles. Winter Harbor has a ferry directly to Bar Harbor, about 10 miles away. Close to trails, beach, and dock within 5 minutes walking. Waterfront access by stairs in front of the house!
5 miles to Ellsworth for Hannafords, Shaws, restaurants and shopping.

Gem location
We were extremely pleased to have found this place and booked for a 4-night stay. It is about a 40min drive to Acadia National Park and initially we were a bit worried about the distance but quickly realized that the drive up and back was scenic, smooth and quite enjoyable. The view was incredible and our favorite spot was by the dining table where we could look out the window with the incredible view of the water. We also had a full moon one night and cracked open the window and heard the waves crystal clear as the moon reflected on the water. This is truly the quintessential New England cottage stay and we were so happy to have stayed there. The manager communications were prompt and easy when we needed assistance during the course of our stay. The Vrbo team was even more amazing as I had left two of my own pillows behind and they were more than happy to help retrieve them back for me and even shipped them back to me free of charge. I cannot overstate the amazing customer service level at Vrbo and it made this whole experience worthwhile.

Oceanfront Cottage with an Amazing View
This cottage offers an amazing ocean view. The location is perfect to enjoy the tranquility and beauty while the Acadia National Park is only a short distance away. We love everything that this lovely place has to offer.

Beauty on the bay

Great location away from the busy tourist areas of Bar Harbor, yet close enough to Bar Harbor, Acadia NP and some off the beaten path places to eat...the local restaurant down the street is a rating of 5 out of 5 for food and service.

This wonderful cottage lived up to the recommendations that we had read on-line! The cottage was well equipped and stocked with everything that we needed. Communication with Susan, the property manager, was fantastic and very helpful. The views were outstanding! We watched seals every morning playing in front of the cottage. We also saw gulls, loons, eagles and cormorants! The beach area (not the typical sandy beach) was fun to explore! We found numerous shells and sea glass! We would return to stay here again and hope to do so in the future!

Great little cabin
This is a great place to use as a relaxing home base to visit the Acadia area. The house is clean, well-stocked, and in a great location. The views are incredible and it is very quiet and peaceful. For a small family it is perfect.

Beautiful spot!
We had a magnificent time at the cottage. The property is just spectacular and the cottage is so cozy! View from every room, we felt like we were on a boat. Loved the post and beam and open concept and the knotty pine floors and walls. The kitchen is lovey and a joy to cook in. We fell in love with the area. Every morning walking along the water and enjoying the sights. The cottage was very clean and just a joy to be in. We look forward to our return trip!

The Perfect Spot for Our Annual Birthday Trip!
My adult daughter, my twin sister and myself plan a week long vacation every year to celebrate all of our birthdays. This stay was by far our favorite! We are all nature lovers and birders and were in heaven with all the critter sightings. We also love to cook and found the kitchen very well stocked with all we needed. We found ourselves not even wanting to run into town for groceries and would hurry back just to enjoy the surroundings.

Beautiful location! Wonderful cottage right on the water. Had everything we needed for our stay and was a great base for our daily outings. Carter's Beach right up the road was fun for exploring tide pools and hunting for seaglass. It put us closer for visiting Schoodic Peninsula, which was beautiful and very worth the trip. We were happy to stay at this gem of a property!

We loved our stay on Hancock Point! The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed for a wonderful getaway. The sunsets and views were stunning and the cabin provided a perfect home base for our adventures in hiking and touring Acadia National Park! Lovely cottage by the sea
Our family of 5 enjoyed this cabin on the ocean. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The space seemed bigger than the photos. The beds were comfortable. The spaces were clean. Our days were a bit chilly in May, so we used the gas fireplace to heat the room. There were enough blankets and towels for all of us. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes needed. There were also extra items in the kitchen and bath. We appreciated that because we flew into Maine and did not have space to bring a lot of the incidentals. We drove 45 min to Acadia and Bar Harbor during our stay. It was well worth the drive. We highly recommend this cottage!

Peaceful location….
Beautiful home in a perfectly peaceful location right on the water. The house was very clean and had every amenity necessary for a fun filled vacation. The kitchen has plenty of pots and pans, dishes, bowls and utensils. There was also a cabinet with lots of board games. We watched the sunrise and saw a seal swimming by. In the early morning you can see the lobster boats going by to collect and drop their traps. Acadia National Park is roughly 30 - 45 minutes away, depending on traffic. There are plenty of restaurants, a few markets and a grocery store, along with a Walmart not too far away. We rented this house for 4 nights over Mothers Day weekend. Many of the restaurants were not open for business yet but were scheduled to open later in the week. We had a wonderful time here enjoying the views, the peaceful surroundings and this wonderful home, which I would highly recommend renting. Thank you for the hospitality. We would enjoy returning some day.

Perfect Spot to Relax on the Bay
We cannot say enough about our time hanging out at this quaint spot. Close enough to get in all of our planned adventures in Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor complimented by hours of watching nature in our back yard! Seals, bay dolphins, ducks, loons, sea gulls, and even an eagle! We will definitely be back to this special place.

The house is cute and the yard is great. I feel like the kitchen was disorganized and really didn’t have all that was needed, or you can’t find it. The the utensils are thrown in a single drawer and the dishes are China- which is stressful for a family. Some good ole white plates would be nice. The fact that they had a few things in the pantry was very handy. The master shower leaks lots of water on the floor. I also think more than 1 TV is needed :) we did enjoy exploring although most things were closed. We ended up cutting our trip short and heading to another place closer to skiing for the teenagers. The firepit, fireplace and little backing brook was great. We had some playful chipmunks too! I think this place is ideal for a couple/just adults.

Beautiful location
We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful location in proximity to Acadia. It is a quaint home in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed gorgeous sunrises and watching birds and the occasional seal from the kitchen window. It worked perfectly for our stay. Couple things to note: It was pitch black when we arrived. We needed a flash light and went to the wrong door at first. They said the outside lights are usually left on. The bathroom in the second bedroom is tiny and doesn't have a shower. It was not a big deal -- just a good thing to know. There is only one small TV located in the kitchen. We were not there to watch TV so again it did not impact us

Maine vacation
This cute cabin was perfect for our Maine vacation. Easy to get to, close in proximity to where we wanted to go. Close to the bay and you can see Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mtn from the cabin. Watched ships, lobster boats, loons, seals and the seagulls. Wonderful time and highly recommend it.

Above and beyond expectations
This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. It is a quaint New England atmosphere and we saw seals everyday along with the lobster boats and other sea life. Quiet,clean cottage that you can drive to all the things Bar Harbor and Acadia have to offer and come back to a beautiful place to make your lobster dinner. We are already talking about coming here again. Thank you for this experience.

Awesome ocean side cabin
In one word a PERFECT perch on the end point of peninsula, waking each morning to birds on water and lobsters being pulled aboard small boats, looking East. Loved each moment at this cabin with my family. This was a 10/10 experience.

Amazing Acadia experience!
This property was a perfect fit for our family. It was tidy and clean with great amenities. The views from the house overlooking the water are incredible! Be sure to see at least one sunrise on your visit, and it’s a perfect spot for stargazing. It also has access to a small beach perfect for shell seekers. We looked forward to returning to the cottage each evening after our Acadia adventures. We also appreciated that the property allowed our dog, which worked out really well since the Acadia/Bar Harbor area is so dog-friendly. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. I cannot imagine finding a more relaxing and tranquil spot for our first - but hopefully not last- visit to Maine. We would for sure stay at this property again!!

Perfect setting
We had a wonderful time. The home was peaceful with a view to die for! Secluded and quiet was just what we needed. Low tide was great to go climb the rocks and do some sea glass hunting. Loved our time there!
