Top Biel Hotel Reviews
Moxy Bern Expo
"The hotel was really funky! Just felt a bit ‘different’ which I liked - a lot! The room was massive, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfy although my son said the sofa bed was quite hard. There wasn’t any storage in the room, just a rack for hanging stuff. This was fine, but some things need a draw or a shelf, not a hangar! And it would have been really nice if it had had a fridge and a kettle for making hot drinks. The gym was ok - not that much in it if ur not into strength training, but the weights were good and varied! Breakfast was nice - lovely breads, fresh fruit, and cereal. The cooked option was limited to scrambled eggs and bacon (and a I think waffles) so if that’s your thing you might be disappointed. Lovely coffee too! The staff were a mixed bag! My son had food poisoning on the day we arrived and was sick on the carpet in the bedroom. I asked at reception what I should do about it as I had nothing to clean it with and the lady was quite abrasive - told me she would mention it to housekeeping and that was all she could do. As it was already quite a stressful situation I didn’t feel this was very helpful or empathetic. The guy however was totally the opposite, super friendly, offering to charge my power bank after we arrived late in the afternoon after the shops shut and realised our European adaptor didn’t fit the sockets in Switzerland. Overall though a great little hotel and would stay agin!"
Mercure Plaza Biel
"Very helpful staff at check in, Air conditioned in the heat of the summer. Lovely walk down the canal to the water and easy walking to shops and restaurants. We did not try the breakfast. Very clean and a good size room."
Hotel Bären Am Bundesplatz
"We had a fantastic stay for four nights with our two kids! The hotel has a fantastic location- very close to the main square, shops, restaurants, and the river (but without being too chaotic or noisy). The staff was very nice and helpful. The communal drink area is very nice to be able to access all day. I also appreciated having laundry and ironing facilities. The only tiny downside was that the dryer didn't really work- things were still wet after 2+ hours. All in all, we had a great time and can't wait to come back!"
Stay KooooK Bern City – Online Check In
"Nice place except only digital access which didn't work for my girlfriend"
Hotel National Bern
"Check-in was a shambles. The room I’d booked was not available, therefore I was downgraded to a sub-quality room. I had booked for 6 nights, the hotel admitted liability stating they’d stuffed up. Rooms do not have air conditioning, they have fans. If you want a portable air conditioner it costs 25 franks per day (this was waived due to their stuff up). I ended up in the crappy room 3 nights and the correct room 3 nights. Errors like this should not happen. Management was very nice."
NH Bern The Bristol
"Conveniently located next to Bern train station. Close to the Parliament, restaurants and local food store. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy. Only negative we had a charcuterie board one evening which was too large for only 2 and quite pricey."
Los Lorentes Residences
"Very easy to reach with bus 101 or 107 from Bern with a supermarket just next door. Lovely room, helpful staff and excellent value for money. Don’t really understand the negative reviews as we loved it!"
Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & Spa
"This is just an amazing hotel in the perfect location--right at the entrance to the old city and directly adjacent to the train station. Our room was clean and well appointed, and I can't say enough about the staff, especially the desk clerk who helped us figure out the Aare swimming logistics, She even provided us with a hotel branded dry bag for floating down the river. My only comment is that the AC was not that strong, but the staff did provide us with a supplemental AC unit which cooled the room down considerably. HIGHLY recommend !"
