“We arrived by boat which complicated getting family off the boat and into the house on a very windy day. Kids that came by air had luggage taken to the house so that worked very well. Took away a star on listing due to the washing machine being inoperative. Krystal was off the island but still very responsive to any messages. Would recommend the house for those wishing to visit Black Point.”

Ida and her so Terren are amazing and make the entire process extremely easy. We flew from Fort Lauderdale vía Makers Air which have a ton of flights into Staniel Cay. “Wonderful place and even better hosts. Our AC went out and they put us up in another place for one night and had an entire brand new unit in one day. Also she cooked us wonderful conch fritters and the best carrot cake ever. If you want an off the beaten path true Bahamian experience this is a must do! So safe the people are wonderful. “We had an amazing time at Black Point staying in Seaweed Cottage. Ida was very responsive to my questions and arranged a golf cart rental and boat tour for us. She picked us up from the airport, gave us a quick tour of the island pointing out restaurants and markets, and stopped at a market before taking us to her cottage. “Everything about our stay with Ida in the Starfish cottage was magical and perfect. Simple, adorable accommodations in a gorgeous location overlooking the bay and marina on Black Point Cay. It’s definitely out of the way (unless you have your own boat or plane), but getting there is part of the adventure.
