"We had a wonderful stay at Big Meadows Lodge in Shenandoah National Park. The lodge has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and our room was clean and comfortable. A couple of areas could be improved: (1) better sound insulation between rooms, as we could hear noise from neighboring guests (TVs, conversations, etc.), and (2) quicker service in the restaurant. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!"

"Although it is old and rustic, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view from the porch cannot be beat. We ate in the dining room. The food was delicious especially the blackberry cobbler. The service was also excellent. "

Our pets enjoyed plenty of area to walk and were greeted warmly, too. The lady in the breakfast room over the weekend ensured that the food was served hot and delicious. "I called to let them know we would be arriving later at night. When we arrived check in was quick and simple. Parking lot layout had us a little worried but turned out fine. Quiet, comfortable, and clean. Would definitely stay there again if we decide to travel to Laray for another weekend trip! "
