"This property was charming and quaint. For us two sisters wanting two separate beds, only the 3rd level attic type room was available, which entailed walking up 2 sets of stairs and the last one pretty steep. This was not quite relayed to us when booking. The property has two big pluses: it is only a quick walk to the Main street with lots of nice restaurants and shops AND only 10 minutes to the majestic Luray Caverns. Not sure if because of the time of year, but the patio was not cleaned...

"The grounds were not well-maintained. Grass was tall, in need of cutting, two dead decorative shrubs at the entrance of the door, large tree limbs on the roof and on the property grounds, would’ve liked to have enjoyed the gazebo, but the path was overgrown, needed mulching, gazebo not clean to sit in. "Overall, I had a really good stay and would definitely stay here again. Check-in was easy and the front desk staff was very friendly. The hotel is currently being remodeled, but there was plenty of signage letting guests know about the renovations and areas with wet paint. My room was clean and appeared to be one of the newly updated rooms. My only real complaint was that the floor didn't look like it had been mopped very well, as there was some visible dirt on it. The drawer handle on the bedside table was also broken, but that was pretty minor and didn't really affect my stay. They provide body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower, which was nice. The conditioner dispenser wouldn't pump for some reason, but again, not a huge issue. The hotel was quiet throughout my stay, the AC in the room worked great and kept the room nice and cold, and the bed was comfortable. I didn't get a chance to use the pool, but I saw several families and other guests using it and it looked clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was actually really good! There was a nice selection of hot breakfast foods along with a smaller cold breakfast area. For the price, especially with breakfast included, I thought it was a really good value. There were a couple small things that could have been better, but nothing that would keep me from staying here again. Overall, it was a comfortable, quiet, and reasonably priced stay."
