This airB&B-type inn has some work to do. The building is very beautiful and the staff are uniformly cheerful and helpful. But I encountered three significant problems. 1) The building is only staffed from 4pm to 9pm. I received a notice a little before 4 that my room was ready, but the door was still locked. I was instructed to complete a very lengthy on-line check-in form, which I did while I sat on the steps and waited. So tedious, and unnecessary, since it could have been done from home. Eventually I was let in the door, and then waited many more minutes for a room key. 2) The computer system indicating room readiness was completely inaccurate. The first room I was given was occupied (embarrassing), the second was still being cleaned, and the third was not yet cleaned. Fourth try was a success. 3) Not process this time, but comfort. The room was so pretty, but the sofa had no place to set a drink or book or phone down next to it. The bathroom was large (great shower), but fitted with a standing sink and no place to lay out toiletries. The heat pump remote didn't allow the fan speed to be raised or lowered, but only ran at high speed, ie, loud and drafty.
These missteps detracted from what could have been a comfortable stay. With more attention to guest comfort, this little inn could be wonderful.
