"We stayed in a very cosy cabin that was spotless and had all the amenities. Our friends stayed in the “Family Room” which is upstairs from the restaurant and has 2 bedrooms and a sitting room, and looks just like your grandmother’s house, with antique furniture and quilts. We ate at the on-site restaurant every day and were lucky enough to be seated next to the owners and her parents- lovely, very hard-working people. The grounds feature comfy chairs arranged around fire rings, as well as games like Cornhole in the common area. The property is adjacent to Virginia Creek, and it’s a lovely spot to sit and have morning coffee. This is a perfect place to base your adventures, whether you want to explore Bodie, enjoy the hot springs in Bridgeport, or just have a peaceful getaway. We will definitely return!"

"We really enjoyed staying at this motel. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable for our stay 🙌 The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home. "I arrived at this motel in the middle of winter - very much out of season - to find it in the middle of being remodelled, so there was no office or any staff present on my arrival. Actually it looked as if it might be closed, and there was no key out for me to do self check-in as explained with the booking. However, I found a bell to ring and after just a few minutes a nice man came down and gave me my key. The room itself was clean and spacious, with a very comfy bed, kitchenette and plenty of hot water for a shower in the morning. Plus the heating was quite efficient so I managed to warm the room up despite the extremely cold temps outside in Jan at this altitude! I rated it Good not Excellent due to the slightly quirky check-in."
