“My family had a relaxing time in Grand rivers! The property is in walking distant of several restaurants and the river. The property host is very responsive and nice! We enjoyed our stay!”

“Liked the cottage, and the outside lights. Very quiet area. Was very disappointed that we could not fish in area. the space around our dock and several others in the area were completely dry. The sunrise and sunset were beautiful. We would rent again, but maybe a different time of the year.”

“First things first. The ownership/management was very personable and accommodating. The marina resort was very peaceful and serene. A nice fire pit behind our unit. The cottage was small but well maintained. Reasonably close to boat ramp and dock and slips. Docks were well kept. Prices were very reasonable and fair. My brother's and myself had a wonderful experience there.”

“This place is absolutely amazing! The pictures are accurate but really don’t do it justice. We brought 3 teams to the KHSAA state fishing tournament, which is 11 in total and we all slept comfortably and had room to move around. Having the garage door as a major help as the boys could spend their evenings preparing their gear for the next day. There is a covered patio where we grilled at the same time as doing the gear. It was just perfect for us. It’s walking distance to the Lake Barkley……

“Was exactly as shown. Clean, comfortable, just what we were looking for. The resort is close to a lot of things (LBL, hiking,watersports, restaurants,etc.) But is still a nice, quiet place to enjoy the views. Jim was an excellent host, checking in a couple of times to see if we needed anything. We would stay there again.”

“Overall we had a positive experience staying in the Once Upon a Time Cottage. The house is much nicer inside the you would expect from the neighborhood. It is very cozy and comfortable. The yard is fenced in and well kept. The only issue we had was with the codes for unlocking the doors. The back door would not open with any of the door codes sent, and the front door opened with a code that had the wrong checkout time. We would definitely rent again.”

“The house was clean and just as advertised. The wifi is competent but should not be needed. Take a couple of friends instead and reconnect. This is a place to throw a line in the water, sit outside, read a book, play some games, view the stars in the sky at night, breath, and overall relax. If you need a little help relaxing, there is a hot tub with a view of the night sky. This is a place that you throw something on the grill or in the oven, no gourmet cooking, just basics.”

“The property was fabulous. We had a wonderful weekend with our family the game room was amazing. The only bad thing was the neighbors pit bulls chasing us from the car into the house. One was huge and mean!!! The rest of the weekend was great!!!”

“It was a nice camp cabin sleep up to 4 people. No running water. But had electricity refrigerator and mic and coffee pot. They furnished towels for shower in camp site. I didn’t understand when I booked it all of this from what I was reading.”

“The house was perfect, very clean and had everything we needed. The lake was so peaceful and we enjoyed hanging out on the screened in porch. The hot tub was great after long hikes at several of the nearby state parks. Highly recommend this property and I hope to be back again soon!”
