住宿简介

Oceanview Escape in Captain Cook | Peaceful Island Retreat

  • Escape the lights and traffic of downtown Kona and unwind in this peaceful oceanside retreat. This 2-bedroom, 2-bath home offers breathtaking ocean views, nightly sunsets, and the serene beauty of Hawaii’s natural landscape, all from your private lanai.
Perched above historic Captain Cook, this elevated home captures panoramic views of the ocean and lush Hawaiian canopy. It’s the perfect balance of privacy and convenience, just minutes from iconic Big Island beaches like Pebble Beach at the bottom of the hill.
Inside, you’ll find comfort and island charm:
Primary Bedroom: Queen bed with ensuite bath
Guest Bedroom: Two twin beds and a private bath
Living Area: Relax with a 43” Smart TV, free WiFi, and ceiling fans throughout
Full Kitchen: Fully equipped with an oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker
Laundry: Washer and dryer in unit
    Parking: Private driveway
Sip your morning coffee or evening margarita on the lanai as you take in the endless blue horizon. At a cool, comfortable altitude, you’ll enjoy gentle breezes and the sounds of island life away from the crowds.
When you’re ready to explore, you’re just a short drive from Kona coffee farms, snorkeling at Two Step, and local dining in South Kona. Experience the real bounty of Hawaii. Peace, views, and authentic island living.
Beautiful Pebble Beach is just 5 minutes away! A hidden gem that is the perfect setting for snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving, kayaking, and boating.
The driveway is very steep and we recommend either 4WD or parking at street level.
We provide complimentary starter essentials including paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, and trash bags. We also have air mattress, pack and play, and high chair available for rent.
Receive peace-of-mind knowing that if something does go wrong, one of our friendly and professional staff members is only a phone call away. With a warm “Aloha”, we at First Island Realty look forward to welcoming you to the most authentic option for a true island living experience.

It was nice to be somewhat "off the beaten trial" and away from the tourist crowds! The beach at the bottom of the hill is almost private! So pretty to sit and enjoy the sunset:)

The view of the ocean was the best part. The spade itself has what you need as a base of operations. The hosts were very responsive and easy to work with.

Great view!!!!

Good location in terms of driving to the National Park and Mauna Kea. Captain Cook is a short drive away, with great coffee shops. The view is spectacular!! The nights were restful, with birdsong to lull you to sleep and a cool breeze to keep things comfortable. Would stay here again and definitely tecommend it.

Lovely stay at cottage with amazing view

Nice place with great view. Comfortable for a week stay with my family. Main bedroom had super soft queen size bed. Location is about 20 min away from Two-Step (a great snorkeling place).

Beautiful Views!

We loved our stay in the house for the weekend. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and the views are incredible from the lanai. We love the beach and taking in the sunsets. The driveway is very steep and you should just park on the side of the road in front of the house. Great stay!

The Check-in process and communication with the property manager was awesome. The views and neighborhood were beautiful. The condo, unfortunately, had a dead cockroach on the floor, a slightly broken dishwasher, no water pressure, and poor linens. The WiFi was so slow, aTV streaming was impossible and it could not be watched.

July 2024

My daughter and I stayed here in July 2024. The view from the Lanai is exceptional, the inside of the property is a bit worn and dated, but everything we tried to use worked as it should. We spent most of the time we were at the house on the Lanai enjoying the beautiful view.

Lovely place

Everything excellent but suggest you recommend 4 wheel drive as the road is pretty steep and we had a rear 2 wheel drive pickup that really struggled when it was wet.

Lovely bungalow

Property was as advertised. Peaceful beautiful view. However it was a VERY steep road and driveway. When wet the road became slick and at one point tires spinning we were crossing fingers that we would make it to the highway. But all good. Would stay again

Incredible Sunsets

This property was spacious and comfortable. View from the lanai was spectacular. quiet neighborhood. Do take the warnings about the steep driveway. As two people in our 70’s, we had to exert a great deal of energy to get our luggage down the driveway and up the outdoor stair! Once we loaded in everything was perfect!

Disappointed that electric failed.

Electrical system failed. Ate in the dark. Unit was old and rusted in spots. View was wonderful. Beach and snorkel gear was great

Amazing view, nice big kitchen, laundry a plus , great deal

Thanks for an incredible stay. Sunset views incredible. Some convenient products left by previous occupants like bug repellant. We added chili powder to the kitchen! Bring body soap if you need it as they do have hand soap and shampoo but we bought our own bar. Loved the little cooler and snorkeling gear and beach chairs. So helpful!! The auto motion detector in the master bathroom is a bit fussy so I would turn it to “on” when using it.
