“The little cabin was so cute, well maintained and offered everything for cooking. The outdoor dining and grill area is perfect. Check in was as easy as driving in and parking. We arrived when it was very hot but all the windows opened to a wonderful lake breeze. There was good fishing right off the dock and plenty of lake to explore with the kayaks. Not too far into town we found a public beach for swimming, a place to rent a boat and a bar with tasty walleye and ribs. As an added bonus there……

“This was the second time we had a friend meet-up/getaway in the Gatekeepers Cottage... it is just so lovely and well appointed. The hiking trails are so nice to get out and enjoy the birds and lake views. We loved using the grill and fire pit, not amenities. You can sit and watch birds in the front porch forever. Ted & Lori are so friendly and attentive, a very warm and welcoming stay overall. ”
