“We absolutely loved our time at Hook Cottage. It was like a storybook with the roses climbing the walls and the beautiful flowers. The host was very kind and easy to communicate with. The area is perfect - you can find great food right outside the door. The rooms were comfortable and could accommodate 7 of us comfortably (3 children). We really appreciated the kid-friendly touches with the children's books and games as well!”

It was very clean and roomy, it looked pretty much exactly like the online pictures (including the wonderful glassed sunroom), the kitchen appliances were updated, and the location was great - just a short walk to the heart of Chipping Campden. However, at the beginning of the stay, twice a substantial amount of water backed up from the downstairs shower room into the hall and onto the carpet. “My family and I were looking for a quiet, quaint place to stay in the Cotswolds and this ticked every box for us. The property was like a setting out of a movie. The house was perfect, well laid out and well kept. Every appliance you may need (including a clothes washer, no dryer though) was included. It can’t really stress how cool this house was and how beautiful the grounds are. My oldest son slept in the “shepherds hut” and loved it. The small village didn’t have any restaurants or pubs but……

“Accommodation is located centrally and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen is a lovely space to come together with family. Add £13 per day for parking as the place has not its own parking. The place is clean but I gave it a 3 for cleaning because there were empty food boxes behind the desk in the main bedroom. Towels were clean but old . Communication was great and we will definitely go back again but will ask them to pay a little more……
