Scenic cabin in Carson National Forest

Scenic cabin in Carson National Forest

10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I and two teens stayed at this spacious and clean cabin. There are two bedroom areas in the upper loft mezzanine with an upper outside deck. There are bunk beds in the basement. the main bedroom is on the ground floor off the living room. All very nice. From the large living room windows, the pine trees provided privacy and views of the distant mountains in Carson National Park.We really like the location because it allowed us to travel to the Rio Grande Riverto fish and raft, to Angel Fire, to go along highway 518 (high road) for stream fishing and then to the town center of Taos. The owners have very good taste in furniture and in artwork. Some really great pieces. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen must have been newly remodeled, with great cabinet space and countertops. The appliances were all stainless steel and new as well. We did use the washer and dryer once. All good.Outside is a L-shaped deck had plenty of seating, a dining table and a propane gas grill. We cooked our first night there grilling steaks. Excellent. Highly recommend staying here. Thanks for sharing your property."

Stunning Ranch Headquarters Log Home

Stunning Ranch Headquarters Log Home

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay was for the full month of July. We fully enjoyed our time. Every thing we needed to set up housekeeping was there. The house became our home away from home. The furnishings and atmosphere are a combination of the old along with all the modern comforts. There are endless views, especially out the large living room area window. The movement of the sun and the beautiful clouds of northern NM were continually changing this spectacular view. The view includes 2 ponds, open grassy areas and tree covered hills in the distance. We often saw grazing deer and occasionally even a herd of elk. We give our stay here an A in every way."

Angel Fire Mountain Retreat w/ Deck & Views

10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful house with amazing views of the surrounding landscape and especially the clouds. During monsoon season, the clouds can be spectacular. The house is well situated on several acres of ponderosa pine habitat and provides easy access to Monte Verde Lake and the town of Angel Fire. It’s also reasonably priced, especially considering the size and quality of the house. We appreciated the responsiveness of the owners and that we could bring our dog on this adventure."

Remodeled 150 Year old Adobe, In historic New Mexico Village

Remodeled 150 Year old Adobe, In historic New Mexico Village

10/10 Excellent
"This was our fourth—or perhaps fifth—stay at this property, and each visit has only strengthened our appreciation for it. We travel to this area regularly, and whenever our stay is more than a couple of nights, this is our first choice. As someone who has spent a career studying and teaching the relationship between people and the built environment, I appreciate accommodations that are thoughtfully designed rather than merely well appointed. This property succeeds because it creates a genuine sense of place. It is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offers the rare feeling of being both welcomed and completely at home. The architecture and interiors balance comfort, functionality, and understated elegance. Every detail feels intentional, creating an environment that invites relaxation rather than simply providing a place to sleep.Equally important is what you leave behind: crowded parking, noisy hallways, slamming doors, and the distractions so common in traditional hotels. Here, you enjoy privacy, independence, and the quiet comfort of a space that truly feels like your own.The greatest compliment we can offer is that this property has become part of the destination itself. We no longer think of it simply as a place to stay, but as an essential part of why we enjoy returning. That is a rare achievement."
