The back deck is the place to be during warmer times of the year, as there is no better space to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or cold drink as you sit beside the firepit. As the sun dips below the trees, play pool inside as the smell of a home-cooked meal wafts in from the kitchen! Play a favorite show on the large TV and cozy up on the sectional until everyone dozes off to recharge for the next day's adventures.

The house is bigger than it looks when you first pull up. It is very comfortable and has everything you could think of needing! It is a bit secluded, which for us is great as we are looking for peace & quiet. It is an old house and has issues that most old houses do - but we loved it. The only issue we had was the cleanliness could have been a bit more detailed as there were a few things that were missed, but nothing that we couldn’t get past.

Not as clean as you would think
This home is ok! Don’t go when it’s raining. Has many leaks in roof. You contact them to tell you about it and they are like not much we can do. One in the king room above the bed. 2 in the kitchen and one in the bedroom closet. Pump ran dry on the morning of check out. Found out leave water on for about 5 min and water will start flow again eventually. Cob web throughout the inside of house along with spiders galore. Other thank that it was ok.

Family coming together
We had a family member pass and there was several that came together for the funeral and stayed at your lovely home. Wish we Spaulding have been able to use the fire pit, but the rain wouldn’t let us. The yard has plenty of room for my kiddos to play and the swing was a fun thing to find. We were very pleased with your home and it was very close to the home my mom grew up in. Thank you! P.S. The kitchen chairs at the table have loose legs. We tightened them the best we could with our fingers, but they need an Allen wrench.

Multiple issues
The house is nice inside, outside is very unkept except for the deck. We would have been good with the listing except the house apparently functions on a well and holding tank which went out and we didn't have water. Vacasa answered the phone but had no sense that this is a safety issue. I had to insist that the issue be elevated immediately. The local person was nice and responsive. He quickly arrived and brought us water. He tried to fix it but said a well expert couldn't arrive until days later. He said this issue has happened before. The home should not be rented until the issue is really fixed. Vacasa offered us another rental which we went to. It smelled heavily of mold, had dirty carpets and the outside was filthy. The home should not be rented in the condition it was in. We immediately left and found another option. We notified Vacasa and I explained to the representative that the house was not acceptable for my family. Our family was gathering because my son passed away from cancer two days earlier. We were in shock and could not ask any of them to stay in the dirty house. I asked for my money back from Vacasa given the issues. There was hesitation but she was kind and took my request to someone. She said Vacasa would agree to fully refund which they have done. My reason for the poor rating is Vacasa should not allow rentals such as these to be rented until the owners maintain them properly. I gave two stars because of the two kind employees.

Great Barview Cottage
Wonderful location for exploring up and down the coast. House was great. Very comfortable bed and sofa. We really enjoyed the deck and the secluded feel. Had an issue with the heater but Vacasa and the owner took care of it right away.

Worst stay ever.
We showed up to the home and it was not cleaned. The cleaner walked in when we were there to clean super late and did not clean anything. She was only there for 2 hours and none of the bedding got washed, the water was yellow and we were not warmed about the yellow water, the pump outside is absolutely not even close to meeting code, the bath tub was absolutely disgusting with dirt and gime built up in the bottom and all around the sides and the drain stop was broke, there was dust and spider webs all over the light fixtures, walls and ceilings, the master bedroom has huge black and yellow stains EVERYWHERE! There was outside debris all over the couch, the dinning room table was not wiped down as there was coffee rings on it and the floors were absolutely disgusting. Worst stay I have ever had. I would not recommend to anyone or ever go back. The return of 1/2 our money was not even enough to compensate for the disaster not to mention I had to clean everything myself for my kids to have a clean environment. The manager was not professional as she texted me when I call Vacasa 3 times before I got any response in return. Nothing about this trip was Enjoyable or easy besides getting into the house through the lock box.

Needs a good cleaning.
We needed a quick house to rent on short notice. I usually avoid renting homes that allow animals as we don’t have any, however this time I had no choice. Overall, charming home and served it’s purpose but I would not stay here again. Pros: the bathroom was nice, the heated tile in the bathroom was awesome. The deck was large and you felt really secluded with all the tree and nature surrounding the home. The fire pit looked nice, however weather did not permit us to have one. I thought the beds were comfy, hubby did not. Cons: It was dirty. Dog hair stuck under the bottom of chairs and Dirt/ hair/crumbs under the couches when I had to look for something my toddler lost. The window tracks were yucky, but that’s a gripe that I don’t think bothers most people. The carpet was stained. Hot tub was not in use and the pool table that is offered is too big to use in the room it sits in.

Sea Spray Fishing Trip
The house is an older home that has been remodeled very nicely. Centrally located to various boat ramps in the area as well as Restaraunt’s and grocery stores. Driveway and parking was a little tight for my 20’ boat and pickup but we managed to fit it in each day. Overall a very nice place to stay for our fishing trip.

The property was very nice, we enjoyed the firepit and kids enjoyed swing out back. It was bigger than I thought it would he and the couch was super comfy! The extra dining table was nice since we had kids and it had everything you would need in pantry for cooking! The only downfalls were the nonworking hot tub that you couldnt help but wished worked! Also the shower curtain was in desperate need of changing and the garbage can was full when we arrived and then taken a day into our stay with no notice?! Also we were greated with many large piles of dog poop. It was a bummer we had to purchase a hatchet to chop wood for firepit so make sure you bring one if planning on using. The pool table was a tease as well...not enough room in the room its in to enjoy it unfortunately. It is located close to stores and beach so that was nice and there was plenty of towels! Oh ya and the stove burners do not work properly in kitchen took 40min to get oil hot cuz we realized one burner doesnt work. Overall nice place, easy check in and out and comfy furniture.

The property was clean but the internet did not work and the TV was dependent on the internet. The grounds were not groomed. The deck was lovely and we had nice weather. The manager was responsive and tried to troubleshoot, although the internet was not available. I am glad we like to play cards.
