"Smokers outside their rooms caused the surrounding rooms to reek of smoke due to the property design.Breakfast was minimal .Staff were busy taking care of their children which should take priority , but the individual should not be assigned to the front desk at the same time. Beds were new and clean.Price was high for what you received as a customer."

"The area had been hit hard by an ice storm recently. We appreciated that Jay had the place all cleared of branches and limbs. We didn't use the upstairs bedrooms so can't comment on those, but the master bedroom downstairs had a very comfortable bed. The kitchen, bathrooms, laundry area was well supplied. Very dog friendly with large fenced back yard. Host Jay was easy to contact and replied quickly. We stayed a week and enjoyed visits to the Shiloh Battlefield National Park and the Pickwick State Park. Thank you Jay for your hospitality. "

"Facilities are old and not up to date. First room smelled badly when checked in, had to request another room. Breakfast was worthless. We would not stay here again, also overpriced."

"The rooms that we were forced to use were smoking rooms. I did not reserve and pay for smoking rooms. We were informed at check in after a 4 hour drive to get there that's all they had remaining. We were in town for a funeral service and did not arrive until later that night. Unfortunately due to the non refundable policy, we had to use them or forfeit a hefty fee for two rooms. My family of 5 which included 3 kids had to endur rooms that were unbecoming of a decent hotel. The rooms needed plenty of TLC from exhaust vent cleaning , paint refresh, or a remodel in general. The staff were nice but I can understand why the ratings may not be very favorable at this time. I didn't know that smoking was still allowed in hotel rooms due to potential fire and health hazards Oh I forgot to mention that the top bed sheets in both beds in one room had what appeared to be cigarette burn holes. We will NEVER stay here again. I highly recommend a MAJOR CHANGE at this location which would include a remodel. I also recommend thinking twice before considering a stay here. "

"Enjoyed the 2 night stay. The Silva's were very accommodating and replied to messages quickly. Location was good, pictures are good representation of the place, everything was in good working order and place was stocked with everything we needed and good quality. We will hopefully be staying again in the future. "
