Courchevel Ski Runs is a resort in the French Alps that stands at an altitude of 5,732 feet (1,747 meters) and is part of one of the world’s largest network of ski slopes. It is known as the Winter St. Tropez for its famous faces, such as David Beckham and George Clooney, and for its breathtaking views of snowy peaks. Rent ski gear from the resort and make your way across Courchevel’s 90 miles (150 kilometers) of alpine ski runs.

Use the 58 ski lifts that take you to the top of the slopes and interim spots. Enjoy mesmerizing vistas of the French Alps from these vantage points. Appreciate the silence created by the snow, with the only sound a swift breeze whistling past your ears. Make your way to the Zen area, which has flat green and blue slopes for beginners. Experienced skiers can take on the many red and black slopes to test their expertise.

The ski resort has become a village, with shopping centers, restaurants, cafés and bars. This ensures you have everything you need during your trip to Courchevel. Relax at a spa to soothe your muscles after a day of intensive skiing. Go bowling, learn to cook, try hang gliding or work out at the gym. Investigate other activities, from helicopter rides and hot-air balloons to language courses and night skiing.

The high altitude of the mountains guarantee snow every year and the resort’s snow cannons supplement the natural snow and extend the season.

Plans for the ski resort were initially drawn up during World War II. It was one of the first ski resorts not based around a pre-existing village.
