Checking in and out the staff was polite. The room had words burned into the floor and cigarette burn marks on the shower edge. The was a hole punched through the bathroom door. No lamp shades on any light. The head board had some chunks taken out of it. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. At least the linen was clean. I’m not sure when Motel 6 went so far down hill and became so ghetto, unless it was just this location. I used to stay at them all the time, last stay in one was 15 years ago. I always remembered smelling bleach as soon as entering the room, and the rooms were always clean and kept up. Maybe look into the Thorton location instead of this one. From the outside Thorton’s grounds look a lot nicer.

The 2 men at the front desk were very friendly!! Room was fairly clean. A little dingy/dated inside and out. Pool was under maintenance until Monday, which we had planned to take a dip:( they may want to update booking sights to show pool is unavailable. Also there were multiple bugs in the room. Figured it out in the morning when about half inch opening between bottom of the door was leaking sunlight in. But for a place to just rest your head 12 minutes from Red Rocks amphitheater perfect place to stay if you don't want to spend a bunch.

Grateful for them taking us in last minute. The fan unit was inoperable in the room we stayed in making the room quite uncomfortable. We booked a second night the next morning and they could not find our itinerary anywhere. Needless to say we canceled and are awaiting a refund in full. Other than that the employees were very professional. This location has stepped it up compared to years prior. Great place to get some sleep in a pinch. And very budget friendly. Free pets as well is a lifesaver. Laundry room was clean and everything worked as though it should.

Always our first choice

This is the next best thing to home for us. The staff are all amazing people, they have treated me, my husband, and our children like family. It may be a rough part of town but it just adds character. The manager that runs this place is so very professional and she runs a tight ship keeping us safe and feeling welcome. This motel will always be our first choice. If you have anything bad to say about this motel or the staff that runs it, then kick rocks!!!! 😄
