" Several issues,#1 the hotel has smelly old carpet,#2 moldy ceiling tiles#3 Grout in bathroom gross and dirty!,#4 bed not comfortable lumpy #5 the toilet over flowed on us last flush broken!! #6 continental breakfast not good! Over all needs alot of work!Disappointed!"

"Everything was as described. For the location and amenities, it’s a great price. Sad that they didn’t have eggs or fruit for breakfast as I can’t eat biscuits and country gravy. Very responsive when we had an issue with the room. Would definitely stay again despite the breakfast issues. They did have plentiful breakfast options but just not gluten friendly options."

"This property is in excellent shape and very well maintained. Gulf view rooms deliver as promised and walk to the beach through the pool area is easy to navigate. Only down side to this property outside of its control is that there is a tourist helicopter across the street that takes off every half hour. Fun to see at it first, but rather noisy and distracting. Also, they book wedding and proms here with music going till 10pm."

"The rooms are super outdated, things are broken in the restroom, tiles are lifting up and the drains don’t work. The bed was so comfortable and the only thing that saved the room. The breakfast was decent but it smelled like poop/sewer in the hallway where they were making the food so we absolutely could not stomach it. Wish we would have looked around more before booking this hotel."

"Rooms were clean, breakfast was pretty okay. The only thing I didn’t like is that the hot tubs jets didn’t work and it wasn’t very warm. "

"The night shift person didn't know what was going on when checking in people. We got a handicap room and found out the next morning didn't have hot water. The day manager moved us to another room and didn't offer to help us. Got to the room and pillows had a smell and no pillow cases. The shower had mold on the shower curtain and the manager had is best person cleaned it. We got the idea that they knew that the handicap room had no hot water because the kept saying they knew it was leaking. I booked the room saying it was in walking distance of the Harbor,we are elderly and was to far for us to walk. Will not stay there again and no recommendations for Motel 6"

"One staff member was not friendly or pleasant. Our room was supposed to be cleaned on Sunday, 4/26, but it was never cleaned, so we went to mention this to the front desk. We were met with an argument/debate. Instead of saying, we will send somebody up to clean your room shortly we were met with an argument and accusations that we must have had the do not disturb sign on, which wasn't the case and she stated this before we even had giving her our room number. Second, we asked for towels as our room has not been cleaned and we no longer have any more clean towels and began to be interrogated on where we are going. I come to this hotel every time I stay in Destin and have never had such a rude experience. Our room was eventually cleaned, but they did not clean the shower or remove the old, dirty towels from the bathroom. This might be my last year coming to the Tru By Hilton. "
