"To start with was easy parking and when entering the hotel was greeted with lovely smiley staff. It was lovely and quiet and very chilled not to busy lobby. We was showed to our room and explained what was what. Was nice ,clean and simple. The area is very quiet so sleeping was lovely, the bed was very comfortable but personally I prefer harder pillows ( but just bring one if need be ) surrounding area was clean very spacious. Was overall a great stay and would def come again . "

"Great place for a visit to Oxford. Quiet location but close enough to everywhere with plenty of transport options. Nicely furnished apartment with everything you need. Excellent communication from start to finish. Would recommend. "

"We were only here one night, but I loved staying in this flat! It was a real insight into how people live their everyday lives in a city the size of Oxford. Manu was excellent about communicating with us and made sure we would have no trouble finding the flat or getting into it. I wish we could have stayed here longer, and I would definitely reach out to him again if I ever travel back this way!"

"What a wonderful place to eat and stay! 5 star service from the staff, 5 star food quality and the rooms were immaculate. Breakfast was beautiful every morning with so much choice. This was a break after finishing cancer treatment for me, I wanted a relaxing break and one of the party was gluten free. We were treated like family, one of the party even stayed an extra night! We had a wonderful stay and we will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you, we loved our stay with you. "

"What a peaceful place to stay during our time in the Oxford area! We really enjoyed the countryside views and early morning visits from the deer and rabbits. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Please note that you will need to drive by car between the farm and Oxford city center. The location can be confusing for taxi drivers."

"Henry's location off the main traffic streets but easily walkable to all points makes it the perfect location. The building is very secure. Just know our unit was up many steps and no lift, but we would definitely stay here again. "

"Everything from when we entered to checkout was perfect. The building is unique and landscape is beautiful. Rooms are bigger than the standard European hotels. Service was excellent! Walking distance to everything. One of the best experiences I’ve had this trip. Must stay when in Oxford. "
"Stewart and his excellent team provide the perfect base for a visit to the Cotswolds. Beautifully appointed rooms and Michelin standard dining backed up by exceptional levels of customer service. We will definitely be returning. "
"Always stay at the Blue Boar when visiting Witney.
Convenient being central.
Parking, though not on site, is 3 mins walk away in the Woolgate carpark and free from check in until check out.
Breakfast is exceptional - waiter service and chef prepared.
Room are simple, but each have an iron and ironing board and hairdryer. Toiletries in bathroom. Aircon in my room much needed as room looked on to main High Street so not really able to open windows.
The night I stayed the local council decided to clean the drains during the night. The noise made for a very disturbec night. The hotel were unaware and when i went to reception at 1am they were luckily able to find me another room at the back of the hotel. Had they been full, not sure what could have been done.
Price comparison with local chain hotels is a no brainer - this is far better value.

"It’s our second time staying at this property. It’s convenient, clean & overall a nice place to stay. As soon as you enter, it smells nice and fresh. The rooms are a good size, generally clean. You can’t hear any outside noise, or from other rooms. You can hear people walking through the corridor but that’s expected (it wasn’t bad at all). The staff were very polite and helpful.
There were only two things I felt could be better - providing dressing gown and/or slippers and the windows in our room were all frosted except one diagonal one. I understand it’s better for privacy but it would be nice to look out the window especially if they don’t open. These things aren’t a deal breaker I would recommend and will return :)"
"I asked for a small room and that is what it was. It would be great for an Oxford student visiting or a seasoned traveler more concerned with the schedule and not the room. Great room for the price, clean and easy. They have bigger rooms and I have not seen them. I was pleased with what I got."

"Had a nice stay at The Evenlode. Enjoyed the food. The room had everything we needed. Power sockets in good places, always important. Check in was easy, as was check out. Staff were friendly. A little concerned that the shower seemed to have two bottle of hand wash rather than shampoo and body wash. Overall a good stay. "
"We were in apartment A, the delux option. Checking in was easy, with a key code provided, a day or so before arrival. The property had 4 rooms: well equipped kitchen (fridged, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster & kettle), bathrrom, large lounge (with small dining table) big bedroom with huge bed.
Everything was very clean and neatmy presented - a real home from home.
Croissant, fresh flowers, milk, bathrobes, coffee pods were all welcome extras.
The property was quiet and an easy 40 min walk to the centre. 5 mins walk away was a small shopping precinct.
Would happily recommend and would definitely stay again."
"This is a lovely place. The staff are amazing. We were there for our wedding anniversary and we were looked after very well. Food is lovely, Hotel room is a little old but in keeping with the area. This is not a complaint. It really was lovely. We would stay again 100%. "
"This is a lovely house. Spacious, but still cosy in winter. Very close to a good bus route into Oxford. Even though it is near to Oxford centre, the house and garden are very private, down a quiet lane
Everything was spotless, and the kitchen island was a great place for the family to prepare meals together.
The bedrooms are over 2 floors, with a master bathroom on each one and an en-suite shower room to the main bedroom on the first floor where there are 4 bedrooms. There is also a cloakroom downstairs.
The photos are a true reflection on what to expect-it is beautiful. I would love to return when we have warmer weather to enjoy the garden!
We didn’t meet Percy, but her husband was there when we arrived, and was very helpful.
