"Although compact Lighthouse Chalet is well equipped with lots of extras included. Chalet was nice, bright and clean, neighbours were all friendly and delightful. Guest Information folder has many places to visit nearby and we also used the hospital when one of my children injured themselves. The only thing I missed was a washing machine or on site laundry facilities with mountains of washing to do we used outdoor washer/dryer facilities at the petrol station in Kessingland, which was expensive...

"We had a lovely stay in California Sands. Easy access to the beach and good facilities on site although our kids are older so do not take advantage of them all. Chalet was nice although some signs of wear and tear could do with some attention. Beds weren’t terribly comfortable and wifi signal was not great but we only use the chalet as a base and didn’t spend a great amount of time there. "I loved my stay, and it exceeded my expecations. The place is in a strange little back street which might look unpromising, but it's dead quiet and actually ideally placed just minutes from both the station and the cathedral. The place is very well kept, and simple but stylish. My appartment was like a Travelodge bed room and bathroom, but with a well-equipped kitchen and a living room thrown in too. The reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful and, overall, it was extremely good value for money. It would be my first choice on a return trip to the city."
