“The checking was easy & staff were friendly,
The room is up 2 flights of stairs, it is very dated & could do with some tlc.
The walls had splatter & marks where something had run down them & the bathroom was dirty in the corner.
We couldn't get any hot water from the taps so used the kettle which didn't turn itself off.
The toilet seat is so cheep that it bends when you sit on it. although the bedding was clean.
The window cill had been burned with a cigarette by the look of it & outside the……

“Lovely well maintained modern rooms with sparkling bathroom and plenty of hot water for great shower. Nice to see eco facilities. Breakfast and dinner were superb and akin to gastro pub quality and generously portioned. We wouldn’t hesitate to return next time we visit family in the area. “Very good value. Excellent parking. Staff friendly and helpful when available. Bed comfortable and clean. The fan worked well but lacked its remote control. WiFi signal in the (courtyard) room weak. A smart television with streamer access and stations beyond Freeview would have been appreciated. Had a terrific meal and wine in the restaurant followed by a pleasant walk along a quiet road into Miskin village afterwards. I would happily return.”

“A very pleasant surprise as a solo guest. Needed an overnight stay for an event in Abergavenny, went with no expectations, just needed a comfortable, clean place and that's what I got. Yes the place needs a bit of tidying up, decorating, updating of furniture but that doesn't bother me as long as everything works for it's purpose which it did.
