“This house was great for our family of 4 adults. Plenty of room to relax and have our own space after a day of exploring York. It was very clean and well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were comfortable so we were able to get good sleep during our stay. Washer and separate dryer were very helpful as we needed to get some laundry done during our stay. Kitchen had all needed amenities. I think Tom and Nina must have lived in it before letting it out, because there were many thoughtful touches that wouldn't necessarily occur to owners just setting up a rental property de novo. I'm only sorry not to have met them, because I was left with the feeling that they must be very warm and welcoming people. My only (very minor) plaint was that the back garden looks a bit neglected.”

“Great communication and welcome instructions - clear, helpful and constructive. The house is wonderful, clean, warm and full of character (watch your head in some rooms). It is effectively located in the centre which means you don't need a car. 7 of us stayed and the house provided private space for us all. Main bedrooms all ensuite with bedding to match expectation. It is well maintained with all the facilities you would expect. Being in the centre can make it lively at times. Thank you……

“Really lovely apartment just outside the city walls. Spotlessly clean, really comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. Little extras including, sourdough bread, butter, preserves, milk, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereals, chocolate , wine and a treat from Betty's all made it feel really special and that you are very welcome. Communication before arrival was great, as was check in when we were helped with our bags down the steps and shown around. Anita (our host) was on holiday……

“We have just returned from a week in this delightful cottage. Louise has provided everything that you would need, especially the helpful plugs on the dressing table, excellent idea! I must mention the wonderful shower too, which was so powerful.The place was spotless and looks even better in the flesh. It’s perfectly situated for the town, bus/train station and supermarkets.
